Principal

John joined Stone Real Estate Corporation in 2001 after having worked at Equity Residential and Marcus Evans. Born and raised in New Jersey, John moved to Chicago in 1992. John earned his Master’s degree from the University of Illinois, a Bachelor’s degree from Boston College and is a member of CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member).

Passionate about his work and dedicated to his clients, John has intimate knowledge of Chicago’s Loop and key neighborhood trade areas. John concentrates on both landlord and tenant representation. His current leasing assignments include The Franklin, The Rookery, Burnham Center, The Wrigley Building, Illinois Center, Gin Alley, Mila, One S. Wacker, 110 N. Wacker, 123 N. Wacker, 311 S. On the tenant side, John represents Apple, Amazon Books, Amazon Go, Allbirds, Madewell, Warby Parker, Equinox, Aritzia, Lucid Motors, Veronica Beard, The Shade Store and Sam Fox Restaurant Group.

Attention to Retail

John is the lead contributor in research and analysis for the Company’s annual Chicago Loop Retail Analysis, which provides an in-depth summary of retail vacancy and trends in the Loop and West Loop, and annual Chicago Neighborhood Overview, which provides a high-level perspective of Chicago’s key urban and suburban retail trade areas. John is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and is Co-Chair of the Planning and Advocacy Committee for the Chicago Loop Alliance. In 2015 & 2018 at the Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards Dinner, John was named Retail Broker of the Year.
